More than 10 years ago, late wildlife author and bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell escaped into the Alaskan wilderness to live among nature – and found himself surrounded by grizzly bears. Every summer thereafter, he made a pilgrimage to Alaska's Katmai National Park, spending four months at a time – with little to no protection – on his own in bear country.Follow Treadwell on one of his last jaunts to Katmai as he keeps his yearly appointment with North America's most feared predator. Armed with only a video camera, he lives in close contact with the magnificent animals while recording the secrets of their daily lives. Watch as he comes face to face with an 850-pound adult, greets a mother and her cub, and witnesses a fierce turf war between rival grizzly clans.
