Our eight year old son is an experienced builder, but this kit brought him to tears. This kit from Best Lock had pieces that would not lock together. As a result the model kept falling apart. The design was also poor relying on a single connection to keep the model together. I will never buy a Best-Lock product again. We never had these problems with Lego or Mega-blocks.
