We bought this pixter for our 4-year-old daughter. Her sister was getting a Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas, so we got her this so she would have something "similar" but more on her level and not as expensive. So far the pixter has survived the many times she has dropped it. Last year, her grandma got her a V-Tech system and after being dropped twice, it didn't work anymore. Very disappointing.

There are lots of games and activities built into this, which makes it nice. Less game cartridges to lose! We did receive a Spongebob cartridge with it because they didn't have the color of Pixter we had ordered. Very nice of the company to compensate us in that way.

Our 4-year-old is slowly learning how to fully use her Pixter. She's pretty stubborn and won't let us show her how to use it to it's full capability, but she's been able to kind of figure it out on her own.
